Preschool Life on the Kibbutz
The films in this component, Family and Society show the family life of children in many different settings.
This film explores child rearing practices of the Israeli kibbutz movement. In these communities, where members share work and resources, children live, sleep, and eat in a Children's House, spending late afternoons with their families. This film follows the rhythm of the children's day, morning through bedtime, allowing students to consider the vales, goals, demands, and fulfillments of growing up on a kibbutz. (18 minutes, B/W)
